Priorities to put in your brief
- Define branch, advisor and service-center workflows separately.
- Specify recording, retention and access requirements with the teams responsible.
- Test caller verification and the handoff to the system of record.
Define the interaction and its record
A branch receptionist, an advisor and a centralized service agent may need different workflows. Identify what should be recorded, who can access it and where the authoritative customer record lives. Separate ordinary internal calling from supervised or customer-facing activities.
Demonstrate the complete handoff
Give each vendor a sample customer journey using non-production data. Include identity verification, transfer, follow-up and record handling. Ask what the connector actually does and whether the proposed product edition supports it. Do not infer a core-banking integration from a general finance industry page.
Agree on ownership before rollout
Have the responsible risk and records teams specify the required controls. Review export, retention, access and incident escalation with the supplier. Test a branch connection failure and an unavailable application so agents have an approved operating procedure rather than an improvised workaround.
